Design

In the Design phase Ballard Guitar Works creates a Solid Model of the Guitar part.

This "locks down" the geometry of the part and makes the Programming Stage an easy transition.

There are many ways to gather the geometry needed to cut the part.

The customer can send an IGES, DWG, X_T, SAT, STEP, or any other 3D geometry file format.

The other method is to send the actual Guitar part to be duplicated and the geometry will be reverse engineered from the sample.
